Taking a sauna strengthens the immune system, relaxes the body and mind and helps to reduce stress. Especially in combination with fitness, it contributes to holistic health.

Start slowly, with about 10 minutes on the lowest bench. Drink enough before and after the sauna and listen to your body.

What makes a perfect infusion and what gives you the most pleasure during an infusion?

For me, an authentic sauna master and merging with the music and the wrap make the perfect infusion. I enjoy it most when I can put a smile on the guests’ faces.

What special infusions or rituals do you recommend for the winter months?

  • Regular sauna sessions in an 85-90 degree sauna.
  • Celebrated infusions with music for relaxation.
  • Steam bath treatments with salt-blossom or honey-sugar peeling for the immune system and supple skin.
  • Wenik ceremony with birch branches for the respiratory tract and circulation.
  • Ladies’ evening for a break from everyday life.

What does “switching off” mean to you?

Forgetting everything around me during a quiet, celebrated infusion with music. I can also switch off well in nature or in the garden.

Which Fitnesspark is your favorite sauna and why?

At Time-Out in Ostermundigen because of the friendly atmosphere and the wide range of saunas on offer. I also appreciate Bern City for its charm and the good sauna masters.

I prepared for the championship with passion, further training and creativity and won the title with the theme “Save the Ocean”.

How do you come to take part in a sauna championship?

It takes courage and a lot of time, but the experience is worth it. A good story, suitable music and fragrances as well as acting talent are required.

In your opinion, what role do proper nutrition and hydration play before and after a sauna session?

A light diet and plenty to drink before and after a sauna session are important for a relaxed sauna experience. Everyone should listen to their body.

How often and for how long can or should you take a sauna without it becoming too much?

We recommend 2-3 times a week, no longer than 15 minutes per sauna session. Sufficient recovery time should be planned between the infusions.
